More Faith, Not More Prayer, Needed

The following is from Knight of Faith, Volume 1, a collection of Norman Grubb's personal correspondence:

"One thing I am sure of is that it is not more prayer that is needed, but more faith.  Heb. 11 doesn't say, 'By prayer Abraham etc', and Jesus never urged the folk to pray, but to believe, and of course Mark 11.24 is key for us.

"There is much too much just 'spreading needs before God', and much too little doing what God is challenging us with, identifying the specific need and then making our declarations of faith.

"In this, you are absolutely right that our old method of so-called morning meetings were first of strategy--what is God presenting us with?  Then definition--what's the exact next step of achievement?  And then with some Scripture inspiration from the men of faith, we go to declaration.

"It was NOT prayer which was the genius of the Spirit in my day, but FAITH, around which all so-called prayer times centered."
