J. Rufus Moseley's Own Experience and Testimony

The following is from J. Rufus Moseley as recorded in the book Ineffable Union With Christ:  Living in the Kingdom (Selected Writings of J. Rufus Moseley, 1927-1937) compiled and edited by Gregory S. Camp:

"In His [the Lord Jesus'] dealings with me, He first made known that life must be love to be real life.  To be led by His Spirit we have to let our shams and insincerities go, and become nobly and bravely sincere as well as wholly loving.  We have to turn away from all lower leaderships to the perfect Leader and leadership.

"It was made known to me that we could be Baptized with the Holy Spirit and receive supernatural gifts and guidance. Best of all, it was also made known that to go His way of love, sincerity, and of guidance by the Spirit, that I would need Him within as the source of love and sincerity.

"Then I asked Him if possible to come and live within and be the life and principle of His own good life and example that I had found to be true.  I was led to dedicate to live His love life where it was most needed.

"Heaven opened and revelation after revelation was given.  The power and glory of the Holy Spirit took control and possession of me bodily.  The Spirit sang of Jesus and put me in the form of the Cross in the glory of Heaven.  Jesus manifested Himself and came within and made known that He is God manifested on the plane of our need, that He is everything.

"Since then I have failed Him, but He has never failed me.  He took up His abode to stay, and is ever leading me to abide in Him as He abides in me.  From that great morning until now, I have known that Jesus is alive, and the most alive being of all.  Since then I have been a personal witness of His resurrection and His lordship.

"He desires all of us to be first-hand witnesses.  He also desires to do everything good for us and through us that can be done.

". . . The risen Jesus, whose resurrection the Christian world celebrates Sunday, longs to reveal and manifest Himself, and to baptize with His Spirit and come within and triumph in and through everyone.  His resurrection speaks of life and of victory of life over death, of the victory of His Spirit over what we call matter, and of the triumph of love over everything unloving."
