The following is from J. Rufus Moseley as recorded in the book Ineffable Union With Christ: Living in the Kingdom (Selected Writings of J. Rufus Moseley, 1927-1937) compiled and edited by Gregory S. Camp:
"He [the Lord Jesus] becomes everything to us in experience as fast as our understanding is opened, and as our wills yield to receive from Him and to give out from Him in love and blessedness to all. He is already everything to and for us, but we do not realize Him and what He is to us except as we open up to Him--as we believe Him, as we meditate upon Him, as we rejoice in Him, and as we do His will of love to all, to the whole creation.
"Now in Christ Jesus (in His incarnation, in His loving sacrificial and atoning death, in His glorious resurrection and ascension, and in His omnipotence, omnipresence, and omniscience) we have revealed in the concrete the perfect God and the perfect man and the beginning of the new and perfect creation or universe. What had been seen as an ideal and as a hope has been and is manifested in Him in an actuality.
"In seeing Him we not only see the perfect God and Father and perfect man, but we also see what we are to become in actual experience through being in union with Him.
"We don't see ourselves by looking at ourselves; we see ourselves by looking at and to Him, by yielding to Him, by responding to Him. As we see Him, we see with the eye of faith and spiritual understanding what we really are, the sons of God and the brethren and joint-heirs of Jesus Christ."
