The following is from J. Rufus Moseley as recorded in the book Ineffable Union With Christ: Living in the Kingdom (Selected Writings of J. Rufus Moseley, 1927-1937) compiled and edited by Gregory S. Camp:
"We have two great needs: The entering into and abiding, increasing, and perfecting union with the living Lord, the reception, birth, Baptism, and living in the Spirit and the Kingdom of God; the outflow from this union with the Lord of perfect love, love for brethren, love for one's enemies, and love for and to the whole of creation. Of course, there must be superlative love for the Lord Himself, but we cannot love Him without loving one another.
". . . Indeed, to be greatly pleasing to the Lord and to be in happiest fellowship and deepest union with Him, to be great in the Kingdom we have to be in a state of outgoing goodwill and love to everybody and to everything. To hate or be cruel to an animal or to anything, even though it may seem inanimate, is to experience a touch of evil. The opposite is to experience Heaven. The only thing that we are allowed to hate is iniquity or evil, and we must hate this first of all in ourselves. To hate it in others before we hate it in ourselves enough to cast it away, is to miss the way.
". . . It is by loving people who are evil and unthankful, by intelligently loving even those who hate us that we ourselves are delivered from evil and enter into heavenly places in the Lord. It is also the way by which the victims of evil and hate are brought to repentance and into the true way--the way of Jesus, the way of the cross, and the way of the Holy Spirit. It is also by love and kindness that the wildest things are tamed and the fiercest things made gentle.
"So long as you have in you anything unloving and unmerciful even in feeling, it is going to torment you until you resist it and overcome it. There's no heaven here or anywhere except the Heaven of perfect love. To give yourself without reserve to the Lord of love and the life of love is to enter into this Heaven. To live a life of pure love all the time is to abide in this Heaven.
". . . The Lord said on the night He was betrayed to keep His commandments, which enables us to abide in His love. As He said twice on that last night, 'This is My commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you' (John 15:12). This commandment includes and fulfills all other commandments.
"Let go of everything that is not loving in thought, feeling, deed, words, and will. Begin to see everyone as one the Lord greatly loves and do your best to get everyone you can to do the same thing. In doing so, you will quickly enter and abide in heavenly places in Christ and in the Kingdom of Heaven; you will also be great in the joy and services of the Kingdom.
". . . Put first the Kingdom of God which is the mind, spirit, and love of the Lord Jesus. Desire this above all else, pray for this above all else, work for this above all else! As you do this, your whole being enters into abundant life, joy, peace, blessedness, and all you will need of food, clothes, shelter, and everything else necessary will be added. This is absolutely sure."
