God Wills our Perfect Good

The following is from J. Rufus Moseley as recorded in the book Ineffable Union With Christ:  Living in the Kingdom (Selected Writings of J. Rufus Moseley, 1927-1937) compiled and edited by Gregory S. Camp:

". . . While I was in the courthouse waiting for the judge and solicitor to parole an orphan boy instead of sending him to the chain gang, this song and witness started and continues to this day [a year and a half later]:  'He's in me and I'm in Him, forevermore, forevermore!'

"While I must go much deeper and abide much more gloriously, since then there has been a witness and conscious guidance and victory not known before.  'Ask and ye shall receive,' and ask the Holy Spirit to direct your desires and prayers and the whole of life.

"As S. D. Gordon says in [one] of his books, Quiet Talks on Prayer, the main reason many do not turn wholeheartedly to God to do and know His will about everything is the fear that 'He might put something bitter in the cup or something rough in the road.'  This is because God is not really known; for when we know Him aright, and Jesus Christ, whom He sent, we find Him so wise and loveable and with such a wise, loving and blessed way for us that His will is just what we would have chosen for ourselves, had we been wise and free enough to have chosen perfectly.

"God gives us not only just what we need, but just what we really desire.  There's nothing wiser than surrendering to perfect wisdom, and nothing wiser than surrendering to perfect love.  God's all this as well as our perfect Father, Mother, Friend, Lover, Husband, Healer, Teacher and Everything.  All that stands between us and Heaven on earth is perfect trusting and yielding so that He can bring us into His best use for us."
