The Wonder of Union With Christ: Everything That is His Becomes Ours

 The following is from J. Rufus Moseley as recorded in the book Ineffable Union With Christ:  Living in the Kingdom (Selected Writings of J. Rufus Moseley, 1927-1937) compiled and edited by Gregory S. Camp:

"When we turn to the Spirit to guide our prayers--and we should always be doing this--the Spirit makes clear for what we should pray. 

"He gives witness that what we are praying for has been heard, we must believe not only that the prayer will be answered, but also believe that what we have prayed for has been given.  'Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them' (Mark 11:24).  Then [S. D.] Gordon says 'dispute every inch of ground with the enemy; and by faith and holding on in the Spirit, the enemy has to go.'

"When I pray, the Spirit so often says, 'I give you the whole of creation,' and I find that by holding on to this and by claiming all things for Christ, I am always lifted into heavenly places and always have the witness of the Spirit.  While we seem to need very little for ourselves, everything must be claimed for Christ.  The wonder is that it is through union with Christ, everything of His also becomes ours."
